TUESDAY—MAY 5TH Departing from Camden at 7 a.m., we’ll spend today getting to know each other and letting the excitement build as we travel thru Tennessee & into North Carolina. Dinner is included in your low tour price today. Afterwards, we’ll settle into our clean and comfortable rooms for the evening. We’ll need a good night’s rest because our Wednesday is also packed full of fun and adventure. (Meals: Dinner) WEDNESDAY—MAY 6th This morning will be especially exciting for those of you who love Springtime and all of the beautiful flowers that are in their full glory. Our visit to see all of the beautiful flowering trees and plants at Biltmore House & Garden will be inspiring. America’s largest home, with over 250 rooms, will be filled with treasures and memories of the Vanderbilts. Then step outside to appreciate century-old gardens that are spectacular in the Spring. Now load up and we’ll head on to Charlotte, North Carolina where we’ll check into our comfortable hotel for the evening. A very special dinner is planned tonight at the NarroWay Dinner Theater. Tonight’s production is John, His Story. This was the first Christian show to play Off-Broadway. You’ll experience the life of Jesus through the eyes of those who encountered him face to face. (Meals: Breakfast & Dinner) THURSDAY – MAY 7th After a delicious breakfast, we’ll head over to the Billy Graham Home & Library. Billy’s remarkable story is brought to life at the Library, through state-of-the-art multimedia exhibits, photos and video presentations. Beginning at a lifelike display of a dairy farm reminiscent of the Graham family homeplace and moving through each decade of his travels around the globe, you’ll experience the man, the message, the ministry and the mission. You’ll also visit his boyhood home. The interior features some original furnishings as well as authentic applicances and furniture from the area. After our visit here, we’re off to Mt. Airy, North Carolina, home of Andy Griffith. Step back with us to a simpler time. Today we’ll be joined by a local guide for a tour to learn about the “Mayberry State of Mind”. You will see the Snappy Restaurant, the Old City Jail, Floyd’s Barber Shop (owner Russell Hiatt has cut Andy’s hair), the Andy Griffith Playhouse, the Andy & Opie Statue, Andy’s boyhood home, Mayberry’s courthouse and Wally’s Service Station, plus a whole lot more. We’ll overnight in Mt. Airy. (Meals today: Breakfast & Dinner) FRIDAY – MAY 8TH We’ll board our motorcoach after breakfast and head home for a late afternoon arrival. This week we've met some new friends, seen new and exciting places and created memories that will last a lifetime.
