June 17, 2012 – June 27, 2012 11 days—10 nights We’re now taking reservations for this great tour that you’ve been asking about for years. We’ll start our tour by traveling to Chicago in preparation for our flight to Dublin, Ireland. We will fly from Chicago for several reasons; (1) We can get a direct flight from Chicago to Dublin, (2) The flight time is shorter than if we flew from Nashville and we don’t have to change planes, and (3) the cost of the tickets are less from Chicago, saving you money on your tour cost. We’ll travel on a luxury motorcoach throughout our tour with comfortable seats and large picture windows. Our hotels will always be first class since we stay only at Three & Four Star rated properties. And, you can book your reservation in confidence, because with our optional Travel Protection Coverage, should you have to cancel for a covered illness or other covered family emergency, you can get a full refund with no deductibles. LOOK AT WHAT YOU’VE GOT TO LOOK FORWARD TO THIS WEEK Sunday – June 17th Departing from Camden, we’ll spend today getting to know each other and letting the excitement build as we travel to Chicago by motorcoach where we will overnight (Meals included today: D). You will see a “Meals” guide at the end of the day’s events. “B” is breakfast, “L” is lunch, & “D” is dinner. Today, for example, dinner is included in your tour price. Monday – June 18th Later today we’ll head to O’Hare Airport where we’ll catch our overnight flight to Dublin. (Meals: B) Tuesday – June 19th Upon arrival at the Dublin airport, we’ll be met by our local representative. Before time to check into our hotel, we’ll visit Phoenix Park where the “White House’ of the President of Ireland is. We’ll then visit the Guinness Storehouse, the birthplace of the famous “pint”. This is Ireland’s number one visitor attraction. Then it’s on to our hotel. Our first of many exciting dinners will be tonight in our Dublin hotel. (Meals: D) Wednesday – June 20th DUBLIN CITY TOUR Today we will take a tour of Dublin’s fair city. We’ll visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, stop at Trinity College and see the Book of Kells, one of Ireland’s most treasured artifacts, we’ll pass O’Connell Street, Europe’s largest street, and pass by Christchurch Cathedral and the Bank of Ireland, formerly the Irish House of Parliament. If you keep a close eye on the road, you may even spot Molly Malone wheeling her wheelbarrow! This afternoon is free for shopping and sightseeing on your own. Tonight we’ll enjoy dinner and entertainment. Overnight again in the same Dublin hotel. (Meals: B& D). Thursday – June 21st CASHEL – BLARNEY – KELLARNEY This morning we leave the city behind and travel through the gentle hills of Ireland. We travel south through Kildare and Portlaoise to Cashel where we will stop for a photo opportunity of the Mighty Rock of Cashel. Set on a rocky limestone outcropping, the Rock of Cashel was once seat of the High Kings of Munster and commands stunning views of the surrounding area. Then we continue on our journey to the village of Blarney where you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy shopping at the Blarney Woolen Mills for all your Irish treasures. Next comes the Blarney Castle and the opportunity to get the “gift of the gab” by kissing the Blarney Stone. Blarney Castle was built over six hundred years ago and has attracted millions since coming for the opportunity to kiss the Blarney Stone. We’ll overnight in Killarney. (Meals: B & D) Friday - June 22nd KILLARNEY - RING OF KERRY EXCURSION An exciting day of travel & sightseeing unfolds for us as we experience one of the most scenic drives in all of Europe; around the famous “Ring of Kerry”. We’ll drive along the coastline of the Iveragh Peninsula through the towns of Glenbeigh, Cahirciveen, Waterville and Sneem, then complete the tour via the “Ladies View” back to Killarney. This is Ireland as you have always imagined it! We’ll stop at the Kissane Sheep Farm where we will experience how the working dogs bring the sheep out of the mountains. We’ll overnight in the same hotel as last night in Killarney. (Meals: B & D) Saturday – June 23rd KILLARNEY – JAUNTING CAR RIDE - DINGLE PENINSULA EXCURSION This morning we’ll enjoy a Jaunting Car Ride (John Wayne rode one in the movie, Quiet Man) through Killarney National Park. Your Jarvey (Driver) will tell you stories and it is up to you to believe him or not. “He must have kissed the Blarney Stone with that gift of gab”. Then our tour continues as we drive onto the Dingle Peninsula. It was once cited as “the most beautiful spot on Earth” by the National Geographic Magazine. We will explore the incredible beauty of this rugged Ireland coastline before returning to Killarney later this afternoon leaving you free time to explore and shop on your own. Again, another night in our beautiful Killarney hotel. (Meals: B) Sunday – June 24th ADARE – BUNRATTY – MEDIEVAL BANQUET Today we’ll travel to the picture postcard town of Adare with its thatched roof cottages and Tudor style houses for some free time for shopping in this picturesque Irish village. Then we visit Bunratty Folk Park and explore three wonderful experiences – the acclaimed 15th century Bunratty Castle, the 19th century Bunratty Folk Park and the Village Street. Enjoy the tastes, scents, sights and sounds of this enchanting place as you stroll from house to house or around the charming village complete with school, post office, doctors house and more. Tonight’s our festive Medieval Banquet in the company of the “Lords & Ladies” of the castle. Each night the Ladies of the Castle, aided and abetted by the Earl’s Butler, welcome guests from the four corners of the globe to dine at The Earl’s Banquet at Bunratty Castle. It’s a feast befitting a King & his Queen, and you’re the Special Guest tonight. It’s a very festive and entertaining event. Tonight we stay in Bunratty. (Meals: B & D) Monday – June 25th LIMERICK – KING JOHN’S CASTLE – SPEND THE NIGHT IN A CASTLE Today we willl enjoy another good Irish breakfast and travel to St. John’s Castle, a 13th century Castle overlooking the majestic River Shannon. Afterwards we continue on to another Castle hotel where we will spend the night. This castle/hotel mixes turrets, tapestries and an ancient history with 21st-century style facilities. We will have dinner and spend the night in our castle in Limerick tonight. (Meals: B & D) Tuesday – June 26th DO WE REALLY HAVE TO LEAVE? Unfortunately, we do. After our Irish breakfast, we’ll return to the Dublin Airport for our return flight home. Upon arrival we’ll check into our Chicago hotel for the evening.
