SUNDAY – NOVEMBER 1 This morning we’ll gather at our departure location in Camden. At 7:00 a.m. we'll head east thru the Smokies’ into North Carolina on our deluxe motorcoach. After our rest breaks and lunch stop, we'll arrive in Charlotte, NC and check into our hotel before we leave for our "get acquainted" dinner at a popular local restaurant. Now, settle in and get a good night's rest because tomorrow starts a week of excitement and adventure. (Meals: D) (You will see a "Meals" guide at the end of the day’s events. "B" is breakfast, "L" is lunch, & "D" is dinner. Today, for example, dinner is included in your tour price). MONDAY – NOVEMBER 2 After breakfast at our hotel this morning, we’re off to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where our first stop will be the popular “Barefoot Landing”. Here we’ll have plenty of time for lunch and shopping before checking into our oceanfront hotel (Holiday Inn On The Beach-Surfside) for the next two evenings. After dinner we’re reserved special VIP seating at the Carolina Opry (a “must see” when in Myrtle Beach). (Meals: B & D) TUESDAY – NOVEMBER 3 A hot breakfast is planned this morning and we’ve built in a lot of free time for you to enjoy the beautiful Atlantic Ocean today. Take a walk up and down the beach (get up early for the sunrise - it will be worth it) or just sit back and relax and take in that fresh breeze off the ocean. We’re going to a shopping and entertainment complex for lunch called “Broadway At The Beach”. Tonight we’ll enjoy the “one of a kind” dinner show at The Medieval Times (Similar to Dixie Stampede -another “must see”) in Myrtle Beach. (Meals: B & D) WEDNESDAY – NOVEMBER 4 Enjoy another hot breakfast this morning before departing for Charleston, SC. Upon arrival we'll go directly for a tour of Magnolia Plantation, built in 1680. The plantation has one of America's oldest gardens and boasts one of the largest collections of azaleas and camellias in the US. We’ll board a “tram” to ride thru this beautiful old plantation for an interesting adventure into the Plantation Gardens, Petting Zoo, and, the Audubon Swamp (you’ll see plenty of alligators here, but, thank goodness, we’re on dry land and they’re in the swamp). This afternoon Charleston will come alive as we enjoy the Historic District City Tour. We'll have free time in the Market district at lunch time before enjoying another “low country” dinner at a popular restaurant. Our accommodations tonight will be in Charleston. (Meals: B & D) THURSDAY – NOVEMBER 5 Enjoy your breakfast at our hotel this morning before leaving for Hilton Head Island and Beaufort, SC. Lunch time will be in Beaufort where history dates back to the 1500's. The movie, Forrest Gump, was filmed in Beaufort. Do you want to see where Tom Hanks lived while filming this movie? Dinner this evening will be at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront on Hilton Head Island where we’ll be staying the next two evenings. (Meals: B & D) FRIDAY – NOVEMBER 6 Pack away another hot breakfast this morning before venturing out to one of the most beautiful beaches on the Atlantic Ocean. Today’s a “free” day on the beautiful Hilton Head Island. Take a leisurely stroll on the beach - lay around the pool - go shopping for those bargain souvenirs in the nearby markets, It’s your call. I’m planning on taking a nice long nap in a beach chair; be sure to wake me for dinner! (Meals: B & D) SATURDAY – NOVEMBER 7 “PAULA DEAN DAY”! Enjoy another great breakfast this morning before we depart for historic Savannah, GA. Our first stop in Savannah will be at the "River-Street Waterfront Historic District" for lunch & shopping.. Late afternoon, we'll depart for Tybee Island where we'll enjoy a scenic tour and stop for photos of the old lighthouse. Our hotel tonight is in the historic district of Savannah and just across the street from the River Street waterfront and a couple of blocks from Paula Dean’s popular restaurant, made famous with her appearances on the Food Network. A special group dinner is yours to enjoy tonight at Paula Dean’s. (Meals: B & D) SUNDAY – NOVEMBER 8 We’ll board our motorcoach after breakfast and head home for an early evening arrival. This week we've met some new friends, seen new and exciting places and created memories that will last a lifetime.
