| Plan now to join the Happy Trails Travel Club for the MACON CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL (270,000 Yoshino Cherry Trees — More Than Washington, DC) March 19 — March 21, 2009 3 days & 2 nights We're now taking reservations for our springtime get-a-way to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon, Georgia. This trip sold out within 1 week the last time we went (March, 2005 & March 2007) and folks have been asking about it again. In fact, we already have some pre-reservations. Call early to be assured of your space on this great trip. Take a look at all the adventures we've planned for you including an evening of entertainment by the popular 1800 Club Dancers and another “Special” entertainer. THURSDAY – MARCH 19 This morning we’ll gather at our departure location in Camden. At 8 a.m. we'll head south to Macon, GA on our deluxe motorcoach. After our rest breaks and lunch stop, we'll arrive in Macon and check into our hotel for the next two evenings. Dinner this evening is at one of Macon’s finest and most popular restaurants (Michael’s On Mulberry). Now, settle in and get a good night's rest because tomorrow's a full day of adventures. (Meals: D) (You will see a "Meals" guide at the end of the day’s events. "B" is breakfast, "L" is lunch, & "D" is dinner. Today, for example, dinner is included in your tour price). FRIDAY – MARCH 20 After breakfast at our hotel this morning, we'll be joined by a professional guide who will describe all of the beautiful things about Macon. This city has more houses, buildings and districts on the National Historic Register than any other American city. We’ll visit the Hay House (known as the Palace of the South) and enjoy lunch at the Cherry Blossom Festival at Central Park. This afternoon we'll take the Cherry Blossom Trail Riding Tour. This was breathtaking on our previous tour. They're the same type cherry trees that are so popular in Washington, D. C., but Macon has thousands more. Back at our hotel, we’ll freshen up and depart for a special dinner at the Sidney Lanier Cottage. After dinner, at another location, we’ll be entertained by the 1800 Club Dancers...Belles in billowing skirts and dapper Southern Gentlemen in their tuxedos will recreate Old South dances. By evening's end, you just might find yourself bowing and "swinging partners", too. (Meals: B & D) SATURDAY – MARCH 21 We’ll board our motorcoach after breakfast and head home for a late afternoon arrival. Of course, we’ve planned some free time today for a special shopping event the guys and ladies will all enjoy. This weekend we've met some new friends, seen new and exciting places and created memories that will last a lifetime. (Meals: B) To receive a full brochure call 584-9395 or 1-800-874-3166 |
