CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL TOUR April 2 – April 7, 2011 “Well, it’s about time”, someone told us the other day. A lot of you over the years have asked if we’ll ever go to Washington, D.C. during the beautiful Cherry Blossom Festival. We’ve not done this in the past, because it’s almost impossible to get nice hotel rooms in Washington during the Festival. To get group rooms during this week, sometime you have to reserve them a year or more out, which is what we did. Look At All We’ve Got Planned For You This Week! Washington, D. C. welcomes the arrival of spring with the National Cherry Blossom Festival, a tradition highlighted with trees that the city of Tokyo gave to our nation’s capital. The blossoming cherry trees, with their vibrant pale pink and white flowers were first enjoyed back in 1912. Of course, our tours will bring us “up close and personal” with these beautiful trees.
